ETCO

The European Trauma Course Organisation (ETCO) is a joint initiative of the European Resuscitation Council (ERC), the European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESA), the European Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery ESTES) and the European Society for Emergency Medicine (EuSEM).

The ETCO is a non-profit organisation registered in Belgium and located at the ERC office.

The ETCO was founded in 2013 to facilitate the management, development and the international implementation of the ETC programme. The ETCO consist of:

  • the Board, which is formed by delegates of the corresponding organisations
  • the Course Management Committee (CMC), which is an international and multi-specialty group of experts in the fields of trauma and medical education. This Committee develops, implements and manages the ETC programme on behalf of the partner organisations.
